Final class!

Last night we had our final childbirth class. They had a little "competition" with the guys to see what team could successfully change their babies diapers the fastest and Ben's team won! It was really funny...this was Ben's first diaper changing experience, and he did good (even if he did hold it by one arm at one point and leave the gown over the babies face for an extended amount of time...) ;)
I didn't take my camera, so I had to steal this picture from another girls blog who was in our class.

Progress

We had a very productive weekend here. Saturday afternoon I taped off the new nursery and went to buy the paint and supplies. Then yesterday after church, Ben got to painting! It looks so good. I can't wait to pull the tape off and get everything in it's place now :) Sounds like a good project for this weekend.
I will try to post some pictures of the new paint later on, but it might be hard to see. The color is a very pale shade of light green...like really, really pale. It's name is "soft reflection". LOL.
Everything else is going great. Baby H is really in motion now and it is so fun to feel heshe moving all around!

Saturday Night at the Chi-O House

Here is a better picture of us in front of the Chi-O house late Saturday night.

It's Natalie, Katie, Jill, Lain & Susan in the back and Sarah, Claire, Beth, Lauren (aka 'the bachelorette') & me in the front.

Weekend

This past Saturday we headed to Oxford for Lauren's bachelorette party/shower. She is getting married on June 30 in Kerrville, TX, so this was her "college" shower/party!
We had a great time...hung out by the pool on Saturday and then had a McCarty shower for her at Lain's house and then all rode in a Hummer limo to Yocona for dinner. It was really fun and we all had a good time. After dinner we rode through campus and got out to take our picture in front of the Chi-O house. LOL

Happy late Father's Day to all the daddy's out there!! Ben had a good father's day gift last night - he finally got to feel Baby H kick! I'd been feeling heshe for a while, but it is usually when I'm at work or in the car. But last night after I'd been laying down for a while, Baby H got active and Ben got to feel :)

Oh, and Madison is so sweet...I can say "kiss the baby" and she licks my tummy.
Only 17 more weeks!!! WOW!

Update on Momma Bird

She had her babies! I'd been thinking she had, but hadn't seen them until today. I went home for lunch and she and Daddy Bird were feeding the babies lunch and I could see their little beaks wide open. It was so cute. I went to go grab my camera, but my batteries were dead :(
Anyways, I am so happy for the Bird Family! I can't wait to see the little ones fly.

Sofi is one!

Sofi (Jessie's little girl) turned one year old today! They had a party for her at the cabin. She is so cute, but of course I forgot my camera...I'm going to try to get some pictures from Carolina and post them later.
Other than that it's been pretty uneventful weekend. Natalie and Evan (her little boy - 1 1/2) stayed the night on Friday on their way to the beach. He is the cutest thing ever...Madison loved getting his "table scraps" :)

Another mommy-to-be

This is the other mommy-to-be currently residing at 5413 Hartsdale Drive. Her and her man built a nest on top of some old curtain rods that we had stuck up in the garage, and "momma robin" laid her eggs there. Ben said she probably chose our house on purpose :)
I like having her there and talk to her every morning and afternoon when I come home from work.

Quote

I found this quote today.
I really like it & thought I'd share it.

There is a gigantic difference between earning a great deal of money and being rich.

Busy weekend

Well, we have started moving everything out of the new nursery/old office. I went to Walton and Alice's beautiful wedding in Greenville, Al with my mom last weekend and Ben so graciously moved the computer and desk into the guest room while we were gone! It was so nice to come home on Sunday and it be done. Now I can at least move the changing table, still-in-box crib, mattress, rug, etc out of the dining room :)
My stomach is getting bigger by the day. I will have to send another picture out later...I keep forgetting to take one.
Everything is going fine. We went to the doctor on Friday and had another sonogram and the tech even switched it to 4-D and printed some pictures of Baby H's sweet face. I don't have them on a cd, so I can't post them, but heshe is the cutest thing and was even smiling in one!! I can't wait to meet him/her in person.
We start childbirth classes this Tuesday night! Should be very interesting and informative and we are excited because our friends Claire and Stephen Griner are going on the same nights (Claire and I are due the same day).
